Peshawar Slaughter

The Peshawar Massacre

I woke up late, as these are holidays, I was sitting in my couch changing channels when I came across a very disturbing headline.150 students were killed. As I watched the news I was horrified as they told their viewers how it had happened.

A kid who survived told us the whole story. He said he was in the auditorium; it was around 10, in the morning. He said he was hearing gunshots, but they all thought that it was a routine exercise. Alas they did not know that death was upon them. Before anyone in the room realized their mistake, six armed men broke in the room. Teachers thought that they would take them all hostage and demand ransom. But they were solely mistaken; the armed men questioned the kids about their parents and started shooting. Let me add something here the kids who were being shot at were all minorsaround 8 to 15 years of age
They armed men asked the kids to stand in a single file on the stage where they showered them with bullets These monsters did not care who it was they just killed and dragged the dead kids to the stage where stacked the bodies like animals. The kid who told us this said that he was shot in the leg, fell down. He bit his arm so his shrieks would stay muffled and pretended that he was dead. The terrorists came up to him checked him if he was shot then he shoot him again in the arm, the kid didn’t move or flinch then that monster moved on to the other bodies lying on the floor to check if they were dead. These monsters went to the staff room, locked the doors and burnt that place down along with teachers who were still in there. They killed the headmistress who was trying to protect a child. All in all that was a terrible sight to behold.

It is a really heart wrenching truth, but I felt compelled to tell you guys about it. I don’t know just could not get those pictures out of my head. Still my eyes are wet, even when I write this down after so many days.
May their souls rest in peace
