Damascus

 Damascus steel

Damascus , well , to be honest its the capital of Syeria and i know nothing about it ..... anyways
I was gonna talk about the damascus steel here.

Origin

Damascus steel was used in middle earth sword making. These swords and knives are characterized by distinctive patterns of flowing water. These blades are

                                 tough
                                 resilient to shattering
                                 has a very sharp edge
it was was originally made from wootz steel ,  a steel developed in India . The original method of its production is not known. the production method of the original damascus steel has been lost since ages but now have some individuals in modern times who have claimed to have rediscovered the process by which it was produced
Well there are many legends of this steel let me list some of them like the
ability to cut through rifle barrel
ability to cut a falling hair across the blade  etc ....
A research team published a report probably in 2006 about damacus steel containing the nanowires and carbonnanotubes.
Damascus steel was superelastic and very hard at the same time.
In the old days biomass , i mean . plants were also in its production .. well thats solely my opinion as the nanotubes and carbon filaments are the presentations of the biomass well anyways ...
here are some pictures of damacus steel
